| Padman
is an experienced litigator with over a 15 years of courtroom
experience. Called to the Singapore Bar in 1991, Padman has represented
scores of clients – from individuals to corporations.
With his diverse experience, Padman advises his clients in various
aspects of the law, most notably in construction law, commercial
disputes, professional negligence, insurance and banking disputes,
trusts and arbitration matters.
EXAMPLES OF CASES
• A successful appeal in the Court of Appeal involving a
disputed property sale. It was a case of the seller reneging in
a rising market. An order was obtained compelling the seller to
complete the sale at the agreed price.
• A banking dispute which concerned the liability of a broker
engaged by the bank.
• Acting in the termination of a high-profile trust that
was no longer in the client's best interests.
• Winning substantial damages for a client involved in an
accident with a MINDEF vehicle.
• Acting against a hospital and a doctor in a professional
negligence claim.
