to practice primarily as a litigator. Kanga is admitted to the
rolls of the Law Society of England and Wales. He is also a member
of the Singapore Arbitrators Institute. His fields of expertise
include Insurance Law, Probate and Estate matters, Landlord and
Tenant, Debt Recovery claims and Sports Law. His ability to understand
his clients’ needs and fight for his clients’ rights
are the hallmark of his practice.
COURT
EXPERIENCE
Kanga has litigation experience in the High Court and
Subordinate Courts and has appeared and fought cases and appeals
before the High Court, District and Magistrate Courts.
INSURANCE LAW
In the area of Insurance Law, he has successfully pursued third
party claims, involving property damage, personal injury and tort
of negligence. Furthermore, he has dealt with matters related
to Workmen’s Compensation and industrial insurance disputes.
He has also acted in various subrogated property damage and personal
injury claims on behalf of insurance companies as the Defendant’s
Lawyer.
DEBT RECOVERY
Kanga has also represented major companies in pursuing
debt recovery claims against debtors. This involves, amongst others,
sending letters of demand, filing Writs of Summons and Originating
Summonses in the Subordinate and High Courts, Examination of Judgment
Debtor applications and enforcing Judgments through Writs of Seizure
and Sale, Garnishee proceedings and winding-up of companies.
