| Mr
Isaac is the Managing Partner of the firm. He has extensive trial
and appellate litigation experience in both commercial and civil
cases.
Experience
Matters which Mr Isaac and the TIC team have advised and/or acted
in include but are not limited to the following:
• an international arbitration involving a Southeast Asian
government rice monopoly;
•
a large Information Technology company on letters of credit and
matters arising from the incorporation and use of UCP 500, along
with duties/responsibilities between issuing and confirming banks;
• large A1 and A2 construction companies;
• aviation companies;
• a large architectural firm in respect of their professional
obligations and joint ventures from Singapore to China;
• credit recovery from various jurisdictions including Malaysia,
Indonesia, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia;
• a large inland transport and construction company in matters
arising from guarantees to financial institutions,
• proceedings where injunctive relief was required and successfully
obtained.
Mr Isaac has also advised on issues relating to contracts and
liabilities, injunction relief, debt recovery, hire purchase actions,
personal injury and property damage. His other areas of expertise
include criminal litigation, Family Law and Insurance Law.
Based in Singapore, Mr Isaac has also advised on matters in the
United Kingdom, Australia, Brunei and India.
Mr Isaac is a graduate of the University of Leeds and a Barrister-at-law
(Grey’s Inn). He was called to the English Bar in 1994 and
the Singapore Bar in 1995. He has a Graduate Certification In
International Arbitration, after topping the cohort in his year.
Mr Isaac started his career as a Legal Office and Military Prosecutor
with the Legal Service Commission, before joining the law firm
of Nathan Isaac & Co. In mid-1998, Mr Isaac left the firm
to form Ng Isaac Partnership.
In April of 1999, Mr Isaac was appointed a Mediator under the
Community Mediation Centre Act by the Ministry of Law. In 2002,
he was appointed a Master Mediator by the Ministry of Law.
Mr Isaac is also Honourary Advisor to the Singapore Crane Association.
Alternative
Dispute Resolution Committee
In May 2007, Tito Isaac was appointed, by the Law Society of Singapore,
to the Panel of Arbitrators, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.
The appointment runs for three years.
